Second Step

Second Step is a social-emotional learning program that promotes many skills in our students. We focus on growth mindset, emotion management, problem-solving skills, and empathy. This program is used in all classrooms at Conley, so the language and skills are built upon each year.

As teachers see students practicing these skills daily at school, such as focusing in class, being respectful, managing a learning challenge, calming down in an appropriate way, and MANY more, they will give students Second Step tickets. These Second Step tickets are kept in the office and approximately 20 students are called in a raffle drawing on Friday afternoons for a prize!
