Dr. Howard K. Conley Elementary School strives to ensure a quality academic experience while utilizing a differentiated curriculum tailored to meet the individual needs of every student. Serving our vibrant school community, we provide an interactive and supportive learning environment designed to build both intellectual growth and strong citizenship. Our dedicated staff is deeply committed to character education, embedding the core principles of Character Counts into our daily routine. To Enter the parking lot:

Enter Arrowhead off Frye Rd.
Turn RIGHT onto Coyote Way
Turn right into the drive thru lane or the parking lot.

When Leaving the parking lot:

Turn LEFT onto Coyote Way out of the lot.
Exit Coyote Way by making a RIGHT onto Arrowhead towards Pecos.

5th and 6th Grade Traffic Plan

Enter Pennington off of Pecos.
Turn RIGHT onto Coyote Way.
Turn left into the 5th/6th grade parking lot.

When Leaving the parking lot:

Turn RIGHT onto Coyote Way.
Turning right onto Pennington will create the best flow of traffic.

Namesake

Conley Elementary School was named in honor and recognition of Dr. Howard K. Conley—a friend to public education.

Dr. Conley served the Chandler School District for twenty years in three administrative roles:

District Superintendent from 1991-1996
Associate Superintendent from 1986-1991
Chandler High School Principal from 1976-1986
Dr. Conley received the Arizona State Superintendent of the Year award in 1995. He was credited with improving race relations, student attendance, staff morale and improved test scores.

In addition to his work in the schools, Howard served on the board of directors for Chandler Regional Hospital Foundation, the Chandler Rotary Club and Chandler Compadres.

Dr. Howard Conley passed away September 20, 2022 at the age of 92. He loved Chandler schools and was proud to be connected to our community. He is survived by his wife Hazel, extended family, and a legion of CUSD staff and former students.

We give a coyote howl of tribute to Dr. Howard Conley for his dedication and commitment to children.

PTO

PTO OBJECTIVES

PTO sponsors and organizes school events and fundraisers to encourage school and community spirit, to enrich our student's educational and social experience and to support our teachers and staff.

WHAT WE DO

Hospitality: PTO organizes and supports teacher appreciation gestures, luncheons and conference meals.

Scholarships: PTO funds two Dr. Howard K. Conley Scholarships for academically and community excellent high school students who are alums of Conley Elementary.

STEM: PTO provides additional financial support to the Conley Elementary STEM lab.

Community: PTO organizes and supports family fun nights and social events for students and their families.

Fundraisers: PTO organizes fundraising activities that promote community involvement, education enrichment and fun to raise funds that support PTO objectives.

Site Council

Site Council is a selected group of stakeholders that establish priorities and focus for the school. This group meets quarterly but has the responsibility of meeting with its representative constituencies. The Council is made up of parent representatives, certified and classified staff, and business partners. If you are interested in serving on one of the two year term positions please contact the school office to receive an interest application.
